SUBJECT: 240 WATT AMPLIFIER “MUTING” AT HIGH VOLUME

We have recently noticed that at some locations where the AC voltage is low (less than 110 volts), the amplifiers
mute” or “cut-out” when the volume of the jukebox is raised to almost full volume. There are components on the
amplifier that will “mute” the audio when low voltage is detected.

If you are experiencing this problem there is a solution. Locate the resistor on the amplifier labeled R341, this is a
10K ohm resistor. Put an 18K ohm resistor in parallel with resistor at location R341 (“piggy-back”). When “piggy-backing”
a resistor you must be careful not to short either resistor to the board.
