Assembly and Engineering Technician




Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting the Engineering Design Staff in the design, development, assembly, testing, manufacturing, and field service support of the Company’s coin operated amusement game products.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Assemble electrical and electronic/mechanical prototypes and products according to the engineering specifications, data, and knowledge.
· Collaborate with the engineers to test and identify, define, or solve development problems.
· Modify electrical/mechanical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and/or systems to correct functional problems or deviations.
· Install, setup, modify, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and reconfigure products in our facility or at the locations of the customers.
· Troubleshoot and remedy electrical and mechanical problems down to the component level using diagnostic tools and techniques, functional testing, and common sense.
· Identify and prepare layouts and drawings of parts and cables to be fabricated and processes for putting them together.
· Provide field service support by telephone, email, and/or in-person regarding the trouble shooting and resolving of game related problems, issues, installations, and performance.
· Assist in the design and development of the Company’s coin operated amusement game products.
· Document and communicate with management and the engineering staff all internal and customer concerns and problems regarding product performance, service, manufacturing, and operational issues.

Job Requirements:
· Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s desired.
· Typically has 2 to 3 years or more of electronic, hardware, mechanical, software, prototype assembly, and/or field service experience.
· Knowledge of computers and electronics including knowledge of circuit boards, processors, integrated circuits, electrical components, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software including applications and programming.
· Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong professional etiquette, and be a self starter with the ability to multi-task, follow up, and complete tasks in a timely manner and with minimum supervision.
· Be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing as appropriate.
· Ability to assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test to the mechanical and electrical component level.
· Must be able to work independently and be team oriented, organized, detailed, and goal and results driven.
· Able to draw, layout, and specify technical parts, components, devices, and equipment to provide documentation, instructions, drawings, and/or specifications as to how products and components are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
· Ability to read and understand mechanical and electronic drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
· Must have good judgment, be adaptable, able to tolerate stress, possess strong organizational skills, and be a team player

This position Full Time, 40 hours a week.
Job is on site in Elk Grove Village, IL.
Full Time employees are eligible for insurance.
